
Presco Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Ademola Adebise as an Independent Non-Executive Director, filling a casual vacancy on its Board of Directors until the next Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Mr. Adebise is a seasoned professional with over 33 years of experience in Information Technology, Treasury, Risk Management, Financial Control, Strategic Planning, Consulting, and Corporate Banking. He is widely respected in the Nigerian banking and financial sector for his leadership and innovation.
He is best known for his tenure as MD/CEO of Wema Bank, where he led the creation of ALAT, Africa’s first fully digital bank. Beyond Wema, he has held senior roles and board positions at several organizations, including:
AIICO Pension Managers Limited
Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC)
Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement Systems Plc (NIBSS)
Great Nigeria Insurance Plc
Currently, he serves as a Non-Executive Director at AIICO Capital Limited and AIICO Insurance Plc, an Independent Non-Executive Director at FCMB Group Plc, and Chairman of Family Homes Fund Limited.
Mr. Adebise is also a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB). He is a member of several other professional bodies, including the Computer Association of Nigeria (MCOAN), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACIT), and the Institute of Directors (IOD).
